1. Membership

By purchasing a UKPA membership you agree to abide by all UKPA rules, regulations, and codes of conduct. Memberships are personal and non-transferable. Membership is valid for one year from the 1st of January in the year of purchase, unless otherwise stated for a specific product.

2. Data protection

UKPA collects and processes personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your data is used solely for membership management, event administration, and safeguarding purposes. For full details see our Privacy Notice.

3. Safeguarding

All members have a responsibility to promote the welfare and safety of children and young people. Any safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately to the UKPA Safeguarding Officer.

4. Payments and refunds

Membership fees are non-refundable unless an event is cancelled by UKPA or the organising club, in which case a credit will be issued for future use. Entry fees for cancelled events will be credited to your account. UKPA reserves the right to modify membership types and fees in line with its Constitution; changes will be communicated to members in advance.

5. Code of conduct

Members must behave with respect and sportsmanship at all times. UKPA reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for breach of this code.

6. Horses and animal welfare

All horses used in UKPA competitions must hold valid vaccination records as specified by UKPA. Members are responsible for the welfare of horses in their care.

7. Service availability and warranties

The member services are provided on an “as is, as available” basis. UKPA does not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the services will meet your specific requirements. Your use of the services is at your own risk.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the UKPA website and member portal is the property of UKPA. No content may be used or exploited for commercial or non-commercial purposes without the prior written consent of UKPA.

9. Acceptance and changes

By creating an account, or by accepting these terms in the portal when prompted, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by them. UKPA may update these terms from time to time; if we do, you will be asked to re-accept the updated version the next time you sign in.
